WATCH: Urban Meyer, Mike Vrabel have awkward postgame encounter

Urban Meyer knows Mike Vrabel well, but he apparently had other things on his mind than catching up Sunday. After Vrabel’s Titans took out the Jacksonville Jaguars, Meyer was seen blowing off Vrabel’s attempt at a postgame handshake.

Vrabel two seasons on Meyer’s staff with at Ohio State as a defensive line coach from 2012-13. He left the Buckeyes in 2014 to enter the NFL, taking over as the linebackers coach for the Houston Texans.

Urban Meyer blowing off Mike Vrabel is just the latest in a series of questionable actions. The coach has made headlines recently for all the wrong reasons. After reports surfaced that he had called members of his coaching staff “losers,” he later confirmed the news to FOX NFL’s Jay Glazer.

He also denied additional reports that he got into an argument with Marvin Jones Jr. that caused the receiver to storm out of the facility.

“Tom Pelissero came out with a report this week that (Meyer) got into it with Marvin Jones,” Glazer said. “I talked to Urban about that. That part he denies. But there’s another part also that he got after his assistant coaches. Urban didn’t deny that part. He said, ‘Yes, absolutely. I’m hard on my coaches. I get on them.’ But he thinks that he still has the full support of ownership.”

As things currently stand, Meyer’s first season as the Jaguars’ head coach will be remembered for disappointing results on the field and multiple distractions off the field. Meyer’s future with the Jaguars is incredibly uncertain, and NFL reporter Aaron Wilson has already named potential replacements should the Jaguars elect to move on.

“Darrell Bevell, interim coach for Lions last year, in addition to Charlie Strong, are the prime in-house candidates if Jaguars move on from embattled coach Urban Meyer, per sources,” Wilson tweeted. “Meyer’s relationships with staff and players are frayed beyond repair, sources say.”

With the loss to Tennessee, the Jaguars fell to 2-11 on the year. Their next chance to come up with a win comes next Sunday against the Houston Texans.
