On the 247 combined portal/HS rankings we’re now ahead of Clemp. If nobody has noticed, they’re now 14, ,15, and 16 in the last three years (including this year). We are 23, 18, 15 in the same.

Their HS only rankings are higher (10, 11, 14). Shows the impact of what we already know…others are using the portal to increase the talent on their rosters and they’re not. Can’t wait to see how this class finishes up as we still have a WH to be announced, and a few big targets out there.

I think I'd rather build a team with HS players more than portal players. Portal players don't go in the portal because they are getting too much playing time. The portal is a pressure relief valve for teams with underperforming players. Coaches can tell players to go in the portal to make room for more talented incoming recruits. Saban has been "processing" players forever to build his roster. Portal players are either underperformers or mercenaries, neither of which make good building blocks for a team.

Haha. Sure thing. They’ve got glaring holes in their roster and their talent level is declining every year. Their HS recruit is declining every year. But whatever makes you feel better about them?

Tell me which one of our transfers do you think were “processed” bc they weren’t cutting it.

I don't really care about Clemson, I was speaking in general about how I think the best way is to build a quality team. They aren't the only roster with holes in it. We aren't exactly loaded and set at every position.

I don't know about any players who were "processed" but I do know Sanders has dealt with a knee injury, averaged 3.4 yd/carry when he played this season and in 3 seasons has 3 tds. I hope he has a good career at Carolina but he isn't exactly a Heisman hopeful. We also just signed a RB from SC State. I haven't followed his career but I doubt he was at SC State because he was overlooked by every single P5 program.

That’s fine. I just don’t think it’s a coincidence that they’ve been declining on the field and declining in talent at the same time NIL/portal started up. Ark didn’t run off an all American bc he had a MCL injury.

Why do you think he left Arkansas and why did he come to Carolina? Carolina won 1 more game last season than Arkansas, he certainly wasn't coming for the big winning record. Who else was after him? Did he think he had a better path to the NFL running behind a weak as water OL at Carolina? Did his NIL deal get cut after his injury and did Carolina offer him more money?

I don't know why he left Arkansas but he isn't a superstar running back anymore. It is entirely possible that he was "encouraged" to leave and Carolina was the only P5 program that had any interest in him because of a total lack of depth at RB when Anderson left.

Absolutely. Having to use the portal just means your recruiting isn't good.

I don’t know if you know this, but we DO in fact get 4-5 star players. I know it’s hard to believe but it happens. In fact, we’ve got 14 of them coming in for ‘24. On JCs show he said we didn’t give him more NIL to come here. Dude is getting his 3rd OC in 3 years, and Loggains wants to run what he ran in ‘22. Not exactly the Petrino offense. Step also was his recruiter at Ark. So he’s go two strong connections here.

After another 10 years of decline maybe just maybe Beamer will be able to not lose to them 8 out of 9 years ..

#4 portal RB…..yeah, he’s running away and no one offered him. And San Francisco doesn’t have a homeless problem either Gavin.

people just make up so much **** these days they actually believe their lies.
