Hmmm. depending on the next AD, could this soon be the end of the Kirk Ferentz era? Will he be getting the midnight phone call which ends his career like a pile of cow patties on the highway.

I hope so. Daddy benefits from playing in the weak western division and was destroyed two years ago in the CCG. You'd think he'd have won something significant in the past two decades or so to deserve his status in Iowa City. Junior is in way over his head as OC so I hope he sticks around awhile. Daddy is doing his best to keep Junior from joining the unemployment line.

Iowa's only objective is to fill Kinnick on gameday. They can do that at the current level of Hawkeye competitiveness. Replacing Ferentz entails risk.

So USC loses its AD and can't find someone internally so serve as interim without the assistance of Ms. Excellence and Weenieberg.
