See the link below. From the article:

”Boeheim has an official coaching record of 1,015-441 over his career -- with 101 wins having been vacated because of NCAA rules violations that resulted in sanctions.”

He coached 47 seasons and won’t even amount to an afterthought outside of Syracuse. I thought it was funny that he took a shot at Paterno when the Bernie Fine stuff hit, but if I remember correctly somebody in Syracuse thought it fitting to put up billboards to honor Paterno when he passed. Let’s see if boeheim merits a billboard.

I honestly thought he had already retired a couple of years ago. I guess Syracuse basketball hasn't shown up on my radar screen for quite awhile.

Sounds like he may have been let go today. Apparently in his post game presser they asked if he would be back and he said it was up to the school. Hours later he’s ‘retired’ and Syracuse has already named his replacement.

Is Jimmy leaving on his own or is there a “wake of turds” he’s hidden that Syracuse recently discovered? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Jason La Canfora is a Syracuse grad and does a radio show in Baltimore. He ripped Jim yesterday after the announcement, said he was an awful person, was a dick to students and paid to get carmelo
While I was an AD I had a basketball coach that played for JB in his early years. He had nothing good to say about him. This was circa 1992. However ironically, he did employ "the zone" and we had some pretty good years.

He hinted about retirement for years, even had a successor in place. 3 months ago he stated he wanted to coach all these young kids on the roster. The university got tired of him waiting to go on his own. Finally they just put him out of his misery and canned him. 7 years to late honestly

And somewhere in heaven, JVP is smiling.

In related news, St Johns just fired Mike Andersen after 4 years on the job and it's being reported they're looking to fill the position with Rick Petino. If they were to land him, I think he'll have them ranked in the pre season top 20 next year.
