#1 2026 QB spotted wearing a Gamecock towel during warmups

What could it mean???? It's been a while since I've seen one of these reports..."Player X spotted wearing gloves for Team-U at practice!!!".

Not sure what our chances are here. Was a UGA commit. but decommitted. Oregon in hot pursuit.

He plays for a small Christian school, but plays in the public school league in Tennessee, TSSAA. Plays in the their smallest division, II-A, though.

UGA is loaded at qb going forward, he probably didn't like the competition he was going to face. I can't say I blame him for decommitting.

Cutter Woods isn't a nobody - Mr. Football Finalist

On paper, there's no comparison. Paper doesn't always tell the whole story though. Brock Vandagriff was the #4 QB in his class and #17 overall. Sellers was ranked #249. Who can tell how the rankings will work out?

Stetson Bennett was a walk on. Recruiting rankings are a money maker for the recruiting ranking industry.

Yeah, that gets into the whole star debate. Do recruiting rankings matter? Generally, I'd say yeah. With lots of exceptions.

There are always exceptions, but recruiting rankings work as a general rule.

I'd rather have a team of 5 stars than 3 stars. As a general rule.

Generally, yes, they do matter as far as letting the public know a player is good or better. Every player on scholarship on an FBS team is good. I think the qb position is probably the least accurate when it comes to star rankings and how they ultimately perform along with OL.

I think it's also important because perception is reality. Some of recruiting is momentum. If you pick up the #1 QB recruit, other recruits start to take notice.
