Who still has the Soorts Illustrated with Dak on the cover? I do.
It was glorious to call up my brother, a State fan longer than I have been, and have this conversation for weeks:
"By the way, do you happen to know who is currently ranked #1 in college football?"
"I don't know -- have you heard anything?"
"Let me check. Hmm. Let's see -- it says here that it the number one team in college football is... the Mississippi State BULLDOGS!"
"HAIL STATE!"
[much celebrating]
I was performing on a cruise ship during the week we became #1. With Auburn and Aggie folks on board. It was glorious.
