You could sense the arrogance of Polk for the entire interview. He's like a deacon in a Baptist church who's been there for 40 years and thinks he runs the place but gets ticked off when the new preacher comes in and doesn't do things exactly like he wants him too.
For those who listened, did you notice towards the end the putdown of Cohen (referring to the 20 games under .500 comment)?

I tried to call in, but enjoyed listening to the show and was shocked by the response in Nashville. We have a very (VERY) small alumni group here, but I'm seeing a ton of MSU tags, etc. around town. Just about everyone agreed that Polk was out of line with every aspect of hiring a new coach. Most folks were excited about baseball at MSU. Cohen was a fantastic choice.
Of course, Polk went off on a short rant about the NCAA. The guys on the Zone were polite and tolerant to all of his BS. The callers--not so much....
