I’ll say 10-8. SEC is really good this year and that would still be a two game improvement from last year.
10-8 is the ceiling, 6-12 the floor. Sorry, but this team isn't mature enough to get through this year's SEC gauntlet. I've seen to many seasons where we blow through the OOC schedule only to be skull drugged in the conference. Hope I'm wrong because the fan base really could use a lift.

I really like this team, and Tolu on the floor makes them even better. Even though we were undefeated in non conference play last year, I had no faith in the team. They couldn't shoot, and it was obvious.
I know they talk about this every game, but we literally had the lowest 3 pt. shooting pct. in the country last year. 362nd out of 362. Our FT pct. was terrible, too. Yet, we still made the tournament (barely). Think about that for a minute. The worst shooting team in the entire country still made the tournament.
They still aren't going to impress anyone with the shooting, but they are competent this year. Teams at least have to respect the outside shot. The big men are playing well.
I'm not predicting Sweet Sixteen or anything, but it's time to get a little invested emotionally.

We have six quad 1 games in January and by the time we play ole Miss they’ll likely be a Q1. If we make it out of January at 5-3, 11-7 or even 12-6 is possible.
Like your optimism. Looking at the schedule I’m thinking 10-8. We’ll win one we’re not supposed to, but I’m worried this team will lose one it shouldn’t, as they’ve demonstrated that already once this year.
OM has a joke of a schedule non conference they are a glass house
As long as their NET is 50 or better it’s a Q1 opportunity regardless of their schedule. Currently they’re at 59 so at worst it’ll be a locked Q2

I have us going 9-9 but would be shocked if it's anywhere from 6-12 to 12-6. The SEC is going to be tough but at the same time, we don't have the just dominant forces that are auto L's.
