Hughes hasn’t officially been let go, we offered him an off the field role. I don’t believe he’s made his decision yet

He has to coach to be able to recruit. He might have contacts, but he is not a good coach. I rather have a good coach.

He would be good in an off the field role. But if he wants to retire and chill that's okay too. That's why we wanted bump was to take over that ms recruitment role

Tony Hughes is 64 years old & should have 30 years in the Mississippi retirement system. He probably does not need to be on the field. He will be fine regardless.

I played for him. He’s a good coach. Wouldn’t have been around this long if he wasn’t.

Hughes has been great here but I'm pretty sure he actually retired a few years ago. We need better younger coaches. Also this is good news because that tells me we have people lined up to step into.those positions. Tomorrow should be interesting

While I agree... didn't Leach just bring guys from WSU plus hire Arnett? And I don't think the DCs under Mullen had much say in their assistants. They mostly inherited whoever was still here.
