What the 17? I turn off the game for one hour. We were in the lead when I turned it off. I turn it back on and Vandy is teeing off on us. Lets just give up this season. Un17ingbelieveable.

.....apathy for a while now too. It's really hit me as far as baseball goes. I'm still holding on barely to football, and I'm probably most comfortable with basketball even with all the off-season turmoil every year.

and sure enough, Polk cholked. That's what pisses me off. But, alas, I'm used to it.

Nobody on this current staff should still be here a month and a half from now.

The only problem I have found with apathy is that I heard I missed a decent season last fall after 5 years of it in football.

...take the season off. Hell, Polk and his little boys are. And losing this year may actually HELP MSU baseball. Follow your favorite pro team.

next year will be full of optimism that the "not yet legend" can get this program back to where it belongs.

.....will be inheriting a program that needs an infusion of talent and a change in philosophy. Of course if Raffo takes over, this is a moot point. If it's Cohen or someone else, our fans need to be patient with the results for at least a year or two. Maybe he'll surpirse us early anyway, but it shouldn't be "expected."

...Byrne cleans house. I'd prefer Polk go out as the CWS champ, but that ain't happening so...

....we'll have to get some pitching, but the biggest thing is whether or not the new coach can get these guys to reject the complacency and acceptance of mediocrity that has been hard coded in them, and you know, maybe get off their fat pussies and want to do something. There will be some quitters.

when necessary, instead of waiting to see if he can get out of the jam, then that's all I ask.

I know...I know I know I know...that Polk is notorious for leaving pitchers in too long, but tonight was just downright inexcusable. Chad Crosswhite sucks *** and it was a miracle that he actually had a 7-3 lead to work with. He left the mound with a 7-6 lead. Thanks, Legend. Enjoy Arizona.

no doubt, but at the same time, we all also likely add some players that might be able to help us. I suspect we will use some JUCO pitchers to try to band-aid the situation, and a player or two might follow the new coach to MSU.

from this trainwreck tells me someone needs a serious head examination. Write this down now: The 2008 State baseball team will go down as our worst in history, maybe not record wise but I can't think of any that were more disappointing. Hell, at this point they may go down as the worst record wise. They're well on their way.

probably was the worst team in MSU history. They only won 16 games, and our team has plenty of time to eclipse that as far as total wins, but we'll have to see how they stack up percentage wise with this team.

Two reasons for wanting to cont. the reign of Polk II:

1. Polk gets to keep power.

2. LT doesn't have to do a coaching search.

I don't think either of those will happen.
