I'm just trying to help you live a more peaceful life. I've lived on the other side, where you are now, for the last 35 or so years, and whatever you think will (or should) happen, probably won't when it comes to MSU sports. You'll find it better if you just sit back and try to enjoy the rare moments when we do happen to step up and have a big upset win over a real big time football team, or when we get a few lucky bounces and string together that magical once-in-a-decade 8 win season, or maybe when we capture lightning in a bottle in a run to the Sweet 16, or the CWS, whatever it is... Yes, that will happen every once in awhile, but I've found it unwise to expect it. I much prefer to be pleasantly surprised when it does happen.

There is absolutely nothing you can do to cause it to happen, no matter how often you post on a message board, or how closely you follow recruiting, or how hard you cheer your guts out, or how many season tickets you buy every year for every sport, or how much money you piss away on road trips to such spectacular sites as Ruston-$+*@+!#-Louisiana. No matter how much we all want to win every game. This is the life we all chose when we decided to hitch our wagons to this star called M-State. I have adopted the strategy of "expect the worst, hope for the best" over the years, and I suggest you do the same.

p.s. One more tip: never, ever, ever bet on the Bulldogs. No matter what. Have a nice day.
