Yes, I do consider confederates traders to the US, even though I have several ancestors who joined the cause. Had they won, they'd been revolutionaries.
Most of us from Mississippi have ancestors that were on the wrong side of history but not all us continue to celebrate the lost cause. 17 them

Sigh. The traitors to the constitution were the states wanting to outlaw slavery, both legal and constitutional.

those states would have overwhelmed the south and voted them into oblivion.

sessession was a legal concept taught at West Point. It’s why it was an option.

lincoln saw how much money the north was going to lose because of lost tariffs since the south had lower rates.

thats why the war was fought. Lincoln had also promised to evacuate ft. Sumpter, but didn’t.

lastly, don’t use 21st century standards to judge the south. It’s called Overton windows.
