I'd take it a step further and say play Omaha late August so that there's a big college sport going on all the time. There's nothing going on in July/August.

I do agree with this. If we want to grow College Baseball it has to include Northern and Midwest teams who can play home games. 60 game schedule starting March 15. College World Series played 1st week of August.k

I was looking also. For $38 you can get both on one cap at Academy Sports. They've got a classic M over S on front of hat with &tate script on the back. On top of that they've got the damn 3 stripe Adidas logo on the side. I NOPE'd out on that one because I prefer not to wear anything with Adidas on it

The other side of this argument is you have teams playing Regionals/Super Regionals in places like Gainesville and Baton Rogue at 2PM in late July. YUCK

Without getting political I’ll just say boycotting Nike because of their current direction while embracing Adidas despite their origins is a helluva stance brother.

I would like to see it grow. I would rather have a later season start in March and end in August.

Not to mention, what about the juniors and seniors who are going pro? MLB is going to want to get those players into their short-season or AA minor leagues no later than first of July.

Without getting political I’ll just say boycotting Nike because of their current direction while embracing Adidas despite their origins is a helluva stance brother.

80 years later, I don't think Adidas origins matter much any more. We still drive German cars.

MLB would love to just ditch the short-season leagues and have colleges develop the talent on their own dime, like in the NFL and NBA.

Now this is what I have contended for years. A March 15 start and play the CWS in mid to late July.
