I miss Big Spur. When Cocky was "introduced", the Gamecock student newspaper opined that he looked so wimpy that he couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag.

Cocky looks like a cartoon character for a children's book. His same old same old thing of coming out in a covered box/cage thing and shaking the box before "exploding" out got old with me a long time ago. Of course, having a chicken as a mascot pretty severely limits how intimidating or cool your human mascot can be. Big Spur was better in my opinion.
