Shark attacks about 4 miles from each other on 30A. Apparently 2 of the 3 are ok (sounds like one lost a hand)… the third is still in critical condition. Pretty crazy for there to be 2 attacks this close to each other.

45 yo woman bite to midsection, pelvis, amputation left lower arm. Teenager bite on arm and leg. Both in critical condition. They haven’t released what kind of shark.
One article I just read saying more than likely a bull shark which was first species my mind went to.
Yep. And I’m guessing one shark. This isn’t usual shark behavior.

I would love to know how they can know that. Ocean is full of sharks. Unless they saw it swimming around with an arm hanging out its mouth like a toothpick.
They can do that with DNA, if they got a sample from the shark in the bite.
If they have killed a shark I agree. They haven't caught it yet. It's still swimming it's happy *** out in the Gulf.
I'll put my money on a Bull shark.
Did a parasail ride off the beach in Destin years ago. Saw several sharks past the second sand bar. It's a wonder more hadn't been bitten.
If I was in charge of life guarding at one of these crowded beaches I'd have drones in the air every time the weather permitted.
Only seen one shark along the Gulf and that was probably 15 years ago.
Right after lunch - about 1:00 PM and was swimming parallel to the shore between beach and a sandbar.
I didn’t want to be the guy that yelled shark until I was completely positive that’s what is was and then a few other people had seen it by then.
To see the faces and reactions of the several people that were beyond the shark and the beach was priceless.
Actually almost appeared a couple of people were running on top of the water to get away from it.
Funny then and still is in a way now until you hear about what happened yesterday.

While we were in San Destin about 25 years ago, a 14 year old girl was attacked by a bull shark about 400 yards down the beach from us. We saw the crowd gather and saw the ambulance arrive and leave but thankfully we were not any closer and my kids didn’t see any of it. That girl died before they got her to the hospital. Never forgot that. That family was doing exactly what we were doing and it ended so tragically for them. It was a terrible thing.
