I see the following teams in play for the B1G and SEC going to 20 teams each-

Notre Dame
Miami
Florida State
Oregon
Washington
Clemson

These teams are in play for the renaming 2 spots, or if the conferences go to 24

Stanford
Colorado
Arizona State
North Carolina
Virginia
California
Utah
Oklahoma State
Baylor
Texas Tech
BYU
Pittsburgh

Start with a list of AAU schools and Notre Dame. Stack rank them by TV ratings and "brand" appeal. That's the list, likely in order, with maybe a few exceptions such as Stanford if adding them is what it takes to lure ND, and I think the west coast will be prioritized to help create a region for newly added USC and UCLA.

The rumor mills is staying ND is on the clock and if they say yes, which I suspect they will this time around, then I think a handful of west coast schools. I'd think Washington first, followed by Oregon or Stanford. Phoenix and Denver markets might be next in line but I don't know if Arizona, ASU or Colorado are in the AAU and I don't think any one of them are a big TV draw or brand despite their proximity to decent sized markets.

I'm locking this. The subject has been raised and discussed in the thread about USC and UCLA joining the B1G
