Yes, I know we still have the bowl, i'll edit based on what happens in coming days/weeks

RECAP

5/17/19- Tommy Stevens transfers to State
8/22/19- Tommy Stevens named starter
8/23/19- Tutor Gate announced; Keytoan Thompson announces transfer
8/31/19- Beat ULL 38-28
9/7/19- Beat USM 38-15: Lee Autry plays for some unknown reason. Concession issues lead to public apology by cohen, who blames aramark. Stevens is hurt
9/14/19- Lose to Kansas State 31-24: 11 AM game, special teams issues, half empty stadium. At least 15-20% of fans their are kstate fans. Stevens is hurt but we waste a half of trying to play him.
9/21/19- Beat UK 28-13; Schrader starts, impresses people. UK has bad offense but we put them away late
9/28/19- lose to Auburn 56-23; delay of game penalty to start the game, 3 and out, delay of game penalty on the punt. Auburn leads 21-0 six minutes into the game; Stevens starts but cannot handle the pressure. Schrader looks better when he is put in but the game is already lost and the special teams looks bad again, not to mention our live bulldog Jak gets smacked by an Auburn player on first touchdown.
9/29/19- Chris Ash fired at Rutgers and Moorhead to Rutgers rumors get fired up
10/12/19- Lose to Tennessee 20-10. start Tommy again and he obviously cannot handle it. offense looks worthless against team that gave up 38 to Georgia state and has countless internal issues. National media is starting to rail against Moorhead.
10/14/19- Moorhead pleads with fanbase and gets emotional in press conference, even mentions his daughter who had feelings hurt because of what fans have said. Moorhead to Rutgers rumors are in full gear.
10/18/19- Finebaum and SEC Nation are in town and ask about Rutgers rumors. Moorhead is "happy here." Cohen shows his *** to everybody when asked the same question
10/19/19- SEC Nation, CBS, National Media, LSU. lose 36-13 to no surprise. Moorhead gets emotional again in press conference after game, says "we are building something"
10/26/19- Lose to Texas A&M 49-30. We do bull in the ring pregame and proceed to get blown out. Moorhead to Rutgers rumors are starting to die as this is our first four game losing streak since 2005.
11/2/19- Beat Arkansas 54-24, destroy a hapless Arkansas team as Stevens starts. Sunshine pumpers are in full force over beating a 2-10 team.
11/16/19- Lose to Alabama 38-7. Start Tommy, who throws INT first play. Bama receivers kill our linebackers first half, Saban admits to leaving Tua in for "two minute drill to practice." There is also a bat issue in the west side of DWS that potentially have rabies. We have 90 total yards of offense the first half.
11/23/19- Beat Abilene Christian 45-7, 20,000 may have been there.
11/26/19- Rumors are fired up of a departing/getting a buyout Joe Moorhead by "sources"
11/28/19- Beat Ole Miss 21-20. "The piss and the Miss" lines were terribly backed up and the Southwest gate. State beats Ole Miss due to Elijah Moore lifting his leg in the end zone after game tying touchdown. Kicker misses extra point and allows them to lose the game. Moorhead shows his *** in press conference afterwards.
11/29/19- Cohen puts down rumors of coaching turnover by announcing decision to keep/extend Moorhead.
12/23/19- Willie Gay and Garrett Schrader are involved in altercation in which Schrader is hurt to point of having to miss the bowl game.

Will update depending on bowl game or other potential happenings with rumors.

This is way more than just a locker room fight....

I know they happen all the time but not like this and under these circumstances.

The backdrop. A season that began with turmoil. A second year coach coming off a disappointing first year punctuated by a horrible bowl performance. Then tutorgate and a QB controversy. Now after another disappointing season wrecked by suspensions and two QBs swapping injuries the clear future signal caller emerges to start the bowl game because the other guy was ‘injured’. Now in a twist that would make Hollywood proud the future at QB is knocked out in a fight by the face of tutorgate. Now the ‘injured’ Stevens gets healed and will start.

With all that said, I’ve seen a lot of player fights but I don’t recall ever hearing of one that resulted in an injury this severe to a starting QB. Things are shaping up for a prototypical joe shiteshow after he has had time to ‘prepare’.

Only disagree with "State beats Ole Miss due to Elijah Moore lifting his leg in the end zone after game tying touchdown." State led the whole game. Ole Miss made the attempt at the tying extra point more difficult, and missed, thus missing out on a chance at overtime. Nothing about that game suggests that Ole Miss would have won if it had gone to overtime. They might have, but they didn't do anything in regulation to suggest that it was going to happen. State beat Ole Miss because they outscored them in regulation, having led the whole game.

Great job. Those folks downvoting this (and we all know who they are) clearly have a problem with facts.

Our longest drive in the 2nd half was 40 yards. Ole Miss definitely had the momentum in the 2nd half. Nothing about that game was a sure fire win. We were extremely lucky that their guy took a piss which caused a miss. Going into overtime would have been a 50/50 shot to win at best.

Completely agree. Not sunshine pumping about the game, just tired of the assumptive narrative that we only won because of that. Overtime was likely 50/50 at best, and with our offensive offense, maybe less...

I agree, poorly worded on my part.

Well that certainly doesn't fit the narrative, now does it?
