To make my Thursday morning a little less hectic, and to put off even longer figuring out my KYPSW picks, I'm setting this up in advance.
Please use this thread for all pre-Session 1, in-Session 1, and post-Session 1 discussions.
When: March 17, 12 pm (noon) EDT
Where: Little Caesars Arena; Detroit, MI
TV: ESPNU, if that's part of your cable package.
Streaming: EPSN3.com (I believe you have to have ESPN as part of your cable package). If not, check out the ESPN app. Note: you can control the mat/match you watch with this.
Radio: The radio PBP with Jeff Byers will be streamed for free via LionVision. The pre-Session will start at 11:40 am EDT, with the competition at 12 pm EDT. You can access the radio PBP at:
Live Brackets: You can follow the brackets on TrackWrestling at:
Note: The Penn State Wrestling Club also has live brackets at: https://www.pennstatewrestlingclub.org
Team Scoring: The Penn State Wrestling Club is usually the fastest with that info. Their team scoring information can be found at: https://www.pennstatewrestlingclub.org/content/tournament_team_score.php?id=27&type=team
PBP: I blocked out all three days for the NCAA tournament (reffing shortage be damned), so I'm good for PBP for the tournament. (With the caveat that by tradition, I don't provide PBP for the Championships.) That said, I encourage everyone to participate in discussing each match, providing your insight, asking your questions, and expressing your frustration with a move, with a ref's decision, with the outcome, etc. @GregPickel will also be providing information. With 8 mats being used in the round, we all could use help with mat assignments for upcoming PSU bouts (usually available from the TrackWrestling link listed above, or the Penn State Wrestling twitter account). Collectively, we've made this work for everyone in the past, and I'm sure we'll do the same this year.
We Are ...
- ready to hear a roar from the Motor City
- hoping to have a great start by PSU wrestlers in Round 1, setting the stage for another team championship
- looking forward to a three great days of wrestling (and wishing I was in the arena in Detroit)
... Penn State!!!
