Wanted a single thread to capture all 2023 non-PSU preseason discussion - for me, the big items of interest are:
  1. Deion at Colorado
  2. New B1G West Coaches at Nebraska and Wisconsin
  3. Kingsbury at USC
  4. B1G East - most wide open year since CJF arrived?

Thanks for opening this thread.

I have found myself wondering about Fickell at Wisconsin, what with the Wisconsin Pipeline to PSU.

Out of the traditional football powers, it seems that PSU has the biggest disparity/lack of consensus in how people view the strength of the team.

PSU varies by 5 spots. ESPN says 10, Steele says 5. BTW, PSU finished the season at 7.
USC, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State and Georgia vary by 2 spots.
ND varies by 1 spot.
Clemson and Alabama do not vary at all.

PSU reloads with a 5 star QB and is 5 spots worse in ESPN's view than Steele's view.
OSU reloads their QB and they're 2 spots better in ESPN than Steele. ESPN says they're number 1.

I'm probably nitpicking because it will be settled on the field, but it just stood out to me.

First time in a while both OSU and PSU are breaking in new QBs. Really feel this season could be the most competitive in some time. I think the schedule looks pretty good for us to be honest x. Have to keep Allar healthy and hope he comes along quickly.

Seems like everybody has a new QB except for Michigan and Florida State. Fun times ahead. Somebody on these lists is gonna Jimbo Fisher it and finish 5-7 or like. Yeek.

True - Bama is trying out the ND backup who couldn’t win the starting job. Word is the QB situation at Bama is not good….

I saw that. I didn't think Milroe played bad last year when Young was hurt, but I can see why they want a better passer. The ND kid isn't it, but... lol

Michigan’s ranking is not unusual. If an atom bomb were detonated over AnnArbor, the shadows imprinted in the sidewalks would make the preseason top ten according to most media outlets.

At the end of the world, cock roaches, Cher, and Michigan footballs perpetual preseason top 10 will remain.

As well they should:
1. ND and not Rutgers is the true birthplace of college football.
2. ND not PITT has most National Championships.
3. ND and no one else has most logical and reasonable fans.
4. ND not Michigan has the most wins in college football according to Irish numerical analysis.
5. ND yearly (especially since ACC affiliation) has the most difficult schedule.
PROVE ME WRONG

Spring season rankings are like blindfolded kids swinging at a Piñata with a stick.

Where do savages like this come from? I’m okay with James being selective with getting kids with high character’s. Maybe we lose a game because one of those kids isn’t as talented. Better than having a tragic event like this. 😕

I really believe that the B1G East goes depends on the OSU defense and if - for a change - they can finally stop an offense with a pulse. If they finally can - like some of their fans think in year 2 of their new DC - they'll win it. If not and they have a repeat of the last 3 or 4 years - it will come down to the PSU and Michigan game and we play those a-holes at home.

Maybe I’m miss reading your context, so forgive me if so.
$11k should have been $1M the girl was begging for help. This kid is a scumbag, I can’t stop thinking about it. What if it was my daughter. He broke her back, dear god. 😕

They aren't beating us. Not this year anyway. We're better than Ohio State at every position but wr.
