Have to go back to the 2014 class to see that many 4*. No 5* in this one, of course, but this is a heck of a class for Shane's first real recruiting class. Hopefully, we can have a strong season and flip some.

I'm definitely loving this class. We must take a step forward this year. Offense has to improve for sure. Not just the OLine but the execution has to be crisp in order to win or be in some of these games we shouldn't be. Looking for major improvement this year. If we can win between 8-10 games, I'll consider that a great year and hopefully we can show recruits you can come here and win.

Yep. I think winning 10 games would be considered monumental. I think winning 8 or more is positive progress. But, yes, we have to show something on offense. Even if Rattler isn't as good as he was considered to be coming out of high school, he's still considered a massive upgrade over our QB situation last year. If the offense sputters with him at the helm, it'll be considered a flop.

The thread you started re: "Skip and Shannon" about Muschamp and the talent he wasted, shows that you have to know what to do with the talent once you get them. I've no doubt we have good DC and ST coordinators. If Satterfield can show himself to be at their level, the future could be bright with the talent coming in.

Win 8 games plus the bowl, would be a huge boost for the program, putting us on our way, IMHO.

There was no reason to doubt Shane's recruiting prowess after his first time at USC. He is showing out!

This may be the genesis of something special....stay tuned!

Recruiting has been great! We were around 70 about 2 mos. ago, now we are 15. This staff certainly knows how to recruit. Win 8-10 games?? Good grief? 7-8 would be a major milestone with this schedule. If we win 8 or more Shane should be SEC Coach of the Year. Those recruits are for next year and we aren`t playing an ACC schedule. There is no SEC team that is not capable of beating us. Sure we can beat all of them(well maybe not a couple), but I imagine we will be underdogs in perhaps all of them other than Vandy, maybe Florida.

I agree 8 wins will be tough to get. Just saying that if we were to go 8-4, winning twice as many as we lose, it would really turn recruits heads. That said, we'd have to sweep Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky. We'll be underdogs to all 3, so............

What other recruits do we have a good shot at?

We seem to be heavily in the mix for 5* and #15 overall recruit Nyckoles Harbor.

Adding a 5* to this class would really be the cherry on top and give us major momentum.

Consistency, consistency, consistency! That's what we've got to have. We've had coaches who have recruited well at the outset of their tenure but then the quality level of recruits drops off. If you look at the last 2-3 classes of Morrison, Carlen, Dietzel, Holtz Spurrier they were all tailing off at the end and it showed on the field.
