Waiting til December makes no sense to me. You have missed the window to sign. It also means that no matter who you commit to, the losing coaches are going to hound you til you sign.

UNLESS……..WARNING crack pot tinfoil conspiracy theory ahead.

You are going to pull a Chloe Kitts and enroll in December
I definitely don’t think she is graduating early. Who knows … maybe she just says that to keep people guessing 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes you just need to recognize what the other guy did. Jeff Walz at Louisville has probably been the hardest working and most successful coach from the end of last season until the start of this season.

He lost 10 players off his roster after last season; 6 to graduation, 3 to the portal and 1 giving up BB. Six of his top seven, it included HVL. It was 80% of his points scored and 60% of his rebounds. And yet they are preseason top 15.

He brought in 6 from the portal and signed very late 2 international post players. He is bringing in a 5 player class, It incudes 2 in the top 100, another 2 just outside and another international post player. He is still waiting to hear from 5 star players MacKinley Randolph and Kennedy Smith.

This is a program that in May looked like it was going down the tubes. Well done. He is probably the best college WBB coac without a title

In other words, he's bothersome.

SC’s consensus preseason ranking is around #5-8 . The previous 3 teams were preseason #1. curious…does anyone remember what was SC’s preseason ranking for 2019/2020?

Kentucky is in trouble this year. This should have been a blowout.

They are in deep trouble. Maddie Scherr would play at any team in the league. After that they have NO ONE who would even make the top 8 of any team in the league except Auburn and Vandy.

I’ll argue with you about whether the margin should have been bigger, this was about as good as UK can play. Make sure and say goodbye Kyra Elzey when she comes to the CLA. It will be her last trip here in KY blue.

Yeah I definitely sensed that with Elzy, that's if she still employed by then. When Rhyne decided to work for Florida over Kentucky (she really likes Coach Elzy too) I knew this would be her last season barring a miracle.

Oh u could be correct! I just worry bc this was just posted as well …

Time will tell! I find it hard to believe Joyce would make a decision this week while volleyball is still going on so I hope it’s about that tweet.

Agree. I think when she does make it official, it will be at her school during a ceremony. Until then, I would be shocked if she made an announcement.

SO….. Let’s talk Notre Dame

1. It seems a certainty Olivia Miles will not be playing for the Irish in this game. She was one of the best point guards in the country last year. She will be missed BUT Hannah Hidalgo is going to be a star. Her, Chloe and Joyce were the 3 best players on the national U19 team this summer. She does not have Miles’ size or ability to rebound but is very fast. I am pretty sure Raven will guard her and can match her speed and is 4-5 inches taller.

2. ND is swimming in tall perimeter players who can shoot and score; Citron, DeWolfe, Prosper, Bransford, and Risch. Our task is to not get 3ed to death. Run them off the line and force difficult shots from 3&2.

3. I believe Maddy Westbeld is the key matchup. She is a 6’3” forward who does it all. Not sure if she will play the 3 or the 4, probably both. Shut her down we win.

4 Their post play is solid but not spectacular on D and rebounding, not really offensive threats. Neither Marshall nor Watson will be able to guard Cardoso 1v1. Get them in foul trouble and ND is in for a long evening. Can Kamilla Distribute out of the double team? Can we knock some shots down? Will ND zone or junk. D us?

Currently #5 recruiting class according to ESPN. I still think Tac is much better than her ranking.
I agree with you on Tac. As Cockygirl pointed out her significant drop is a deviation from how they have treated other players with injuries. Cierra Toomey and Amihere come to mind.

I was a little surprised when they reported it was a foot injury. I had assumed knee and ACL. The only foot injuries I can think of to sideline you 9 months is an Achilles tear or a Lisfranc break. Anyone know what her injury was?

I remember reading somewhere that it was a broken foot. Lisfranc would be my guess.

Dallas News says fracture on the side of her foot.

Here is the article.
