Ok this bothers me but just hoping it was an oversight bc we are listed at then end.

Articoe states who we have signed and that we are still in the mix for Kennedy Smith but does not say we are still in the mix for Joyce 😡

From the article, 3 of the top 5 remaining are considering USC:

1. Sarah Strong (UConn, LSU, North Carolina, UCLA, South Carolina)

2. Joyce Edwards (South Carolina, LSU, Texas A&M, Clemson, Stanford, Maryland, USC)

3. Jaloni Cambridge (Ohio State, Florida, LSU, Baylor, Louisville)

5. Kennedy Smith (USC, UCLA, Duke, South Carolina, Louisville)
Yes like I said it mentions us the end but it says considered not considering so I’m hoping it was an oversight in the body of the article where it only mentions Kennedy Smith as still being in the mix.

I doubt they know what Joyce has taken off their list. One of their previous articles this season said that Chloe was freshman to watch this season. I'm sure it's just oversight.

Mentions CDS but mostly about ESPN diversity. Mods - remove if too harsh.

This guy is a POS. He sure does live to hear himself talk as if he is the expert. The Highlighters are a volunteer group of students who are chosen to play . What difference does it make if they are White? Diversity of Volunteers? He is toxic. I am sure that question was asked as merely a lead into or segue. Dawns look was probably her catching onto the format and not an astonishment to the question. I played some practices in the late 79’s with the College of Charleston Woman’s Basketball team and that was by request as I was in the gym often and knew a lot of the players. Same thing for the guys in the gym with me. This has been going on for many years. I turned it off shortly after that because this guy is just toxic.

He thinks diversity is wrong compared to merit. He was being sarcastic about the execs at ESPN. Please re-listen. However, he does like to hear himself talk. Ha.

He is an asshat. He thinks if he sees diversity that it means the product is automatically diminished because he is sexist and racist . I know the type and I call it like I see it. Have there been stupid diversity hires ? Yes, but don’t blame that in diversity itself. Blame it on the HR person who made the hires . A true diversity is merit based without bias. When re realizes that a lack of diversity occurred from bias in the first place maybe he will grow enough to develop a well rounded and well thought commentary on the matter. (It is usually the dumbest person who wants to voice their opinions about things they don’t truly understand)! They talk with confidence and a brashness to force their narrow views). 😎😎. JMHO 😂😂😂 but then again, What do I Know ? 🤷‍♂️

The topic on the Highlighters was supposed to be a nice little segment to give these relatively unknown guys some nice recognition and people have tried to turn into something negative.

Elle Duncan has been to CLA multiple times before including when we hosted GameDay, she's well aware of who those guys are and asked this question for the sake of the audience.

Don’t dump this and then try to wash your hands by laying it at the mods feet. This adds nothing to the over 3 year intent of this thread to follow and celebrate Gamecock WBB. It is a partisan political screed that only goads those who disagree to engage.

We are in the final stages or another historic recruiting class. we are involved in a ground breaking overseas game to further WBB and see us play a top 10 ND team in Paris France of all places.

KEEP THE MAIN THING THE MAIN THING.

Camden loses to Wren in the volleyball state championship. Camden has several very good club volleyball players who play others sports in high school. I think they would have made the difference. I wasn't at the game, so can't report on which coaches were there to see Joyce.

I don't know about coaches but I saw some Gamecock fans were at the game in their gear to support Joyce. Joyce retweeted this.

Who remembers the last time we lost 2 in a row? You are a super fan if you can do it without looking it up. I had to cheat.

Has to be 18-19 season. Whoever we played in regular season finale I’m guessing Miss st and Arkansas in first round of SEC tournament.

Joyce Edwards update … LSU On3 reporting that it is between LSU and us. Says LSU has done everything that they can and they are just waiting to hear from Joyce either way. Atleast he isn’t saying he feels good about LSU chances.

Presser from yesterday. Takeaways, expect ND to play zone, what they are best at and they don’t match with our size. Debbie had the scout and game plan ready in July but only started working on it 3 weeks ago🤣

Fulwiley had a tough day in practice yesterday

Score is 48-33 South Carolina at the half.

Game breaks open a bit in the 2nd stanza as Notre Dame loses a little 1st-quarter composure, picking up turnovers and fouls. The Gamecocks out-score the Irish 24-8 in a period where Raven Johnson picked up her 2nd foul and had to sit. She sat with 9 pts in 11 minutes, but 0 assists.

Cardoso was a bit unstoppable in the 2nd Period as she recedes into the paint more defensively rather than coming out to the perimeter as she did more in the 1st Period. She scores 5 of her 7 halftime pts and 8 of her 10 rebounds (and of her team's 14 rebs that period) during that 10 minutes.

The battle of the Super Frosh guards have been decidedly on the Irish's side. Hidalgo is leading the team with 17 points on 6-10 shooting in 17 minutes, 2-4 from the three. Fulwiley has 7 pts in 13 minutes on 3-6 shooting, 1-3 from behind the arc. But Fulwiley had the basket of the game thus far showing off her talent, with a drive-in, behind-the-back dribbling, no-look fake pass layup that brought the crowd to its feet.....

I've seen enough. This team has national championship written all over it. They are better than last year because of their depth, outside shooting and athleticism. They will win the title this year!!

I wont go that far - because I never do - but I do like how that depth should get tons of opportunity for minutes this year, BECAUSE of that new experience for the whole team to lead. We will be very experienced as a team once the SEC season and post-season arrives.....

USC rolling with 3 very talented PG’s in Raven, Te-Hina, and Milaysia. Te-Hina showing she’s not here to just be a SG. She’s doing a great job running the offense when she has the ball in her hands, as well as putting up points herself.

And this is where the Gamecocks will just pummel opponents late in games - when Feagin, Watkins, Walker, and Sah come into the game. They will just beat down opponents, similar to how our great defensive front lines in the 2010's-2013's did with all our depth wearing down opposing OLs late in FB games.....
