Rivals officially released their first Class of 2025 rankings today. Three Gamecocks targets made the Top 40, which I've detailed below.

TREYVON MADDOX, White Knoll HS (Lexington, SC)
Status: Not Offered
Position: SF | Height: 6’6” | Weight: 180 lbs.
Rivals Ranking: 29
Notes: Maddox moved to Columbia two years ago after his father was hired as head basketball coach at Bennedict College. On3 previously projected Maddox to become a national level recruit, but has yet to release Class of 2025 rankings. Phenom Hoop Report also has great things to say about his potential, but Rivals has officially listed Maddox at 29 for his class. Paris has a chance to build a relationship early on with Maddox as he plays right down the road and doesn't have quite as much national attention as some of the other guys yet.

JERRY EASTER II, Emmanuel Christian School (Toledo, OH)

Position: PG | Height: 6’5” | Weight: 190 lbs.
Rivals Ranking: 34
Notes: Easter is widely considered one of the top prospects in the nation with more than 13 scholarship offers from major programs and was previously named one of the twelve prospects in the class to watch out for by 247. Prior to Meechie Johnson’s commitment to the Gamecocks, Easter mentioned that he enjoyed watching Meechie play growing up. I think it’s interesting that he lists South Carolina first when discussing which schools have offered him: “I have offers from South Carolina, Michigan State, Ohio State, Toledo, UCLA, Bowling Green, and there are some more too, Easter said. “I went up to Michigan State for a game; I’d like to get to UCLA, South Carolina, and Ohio State.” – and also that he mentions South Carolina as a school that he wants to visit.

Notes: Paris just offered Ellis three weeks ago. I think West Virginia is the only other major program that has offered him so far, but this is the first time I've seen him ranked nationally and he doesn't seem to have much attention yet, so Paris contacting him early is a great sign.
