Like I said in a different post, we might as well give Beamer a 20 year contract because there is no one who could do it now.
Been since 1968 for me. I saw that ACC championship, which was a 7-4 record if memory serves, and a loss in our bowl game to Jim Carlen and WVa. Some of the younger folks might not understand this, but if we couldn’t do it with Steve friggin Spurrier, and players like Clowney, Lattimore, Jeffrey, and Ingram et al … if championships are what you need to float your boat, you may need to ask your doctor if gamecock football is right for you.
I haven't been around that long, but I've been around more than long enough to realize that our current status is our lot in life.
We can never be more that what we always have been.
