College basketball is a funny game. Northwestern beats Purdue and then loses Chicago State. Also dings us a little bit seeing how Northwestern is our marquee win so far.

State does a pretty good job of dinging themselves.
The lesson to be taken is, enjoy every win, even the ugly ones like we had tonight. It’s not uncommon for teams to stub their toe against lesser opponents. FAU lost to Bryant, Kentucky lost to UNC Wilmington, NW lost to Chicago State, and, of course, we lost to Southern.
