I see what you are saying but Polk never bunts in situations that most coaches would. I think that every coach is SEC would have bunted in that situation. It was a bad call no matter how you look at it.

SEC? Hell, most coaches at ANY level from Little League to the Big Leagues would have bunted there. Poor job of managing there- especially since you have a hitter who wants to hit the ball on the ground. Poor job of knowing the situation and the personnel.

You would maybe do a hit and run with a guy like Sneed there, but not with Hogue.
