1. Pittman. At this time, I'd be surprised if he makes it through the season. Was very surprised they brought him back for 2024. Might have just been a financial decision. Last year could have been a fluke or the continued downward trend since 2021.
2. Napier. Sure does look like this is his make or break season. 3-5 conference records won't cut it at Florida. Would Florida fans be content with modest progress like 7 wins?
3. Beamer. Short of cratering on the order of 3 wins, I don't see him getting canned. 5 wins or more and I think he's safe and 2025 becomes his make or break year. 4 wins or less and I think it's up in the air. Whether it should be a factor or not, we are USC, and I'm sure Ray is considering our blistering conference schedule. I'm pegging 2025 to be his "prove it" year.
4. Lea. Yeah, it's Vandy, but even 0-8 in the conference will eventually get you fired there. 2-22 in conference games so far. Coming off a 2-win season, I'm not sure what saves his job, but 5 wins or more probably does it. Hard to see them winning a conference game, though, so I could see Vandy pulling the plug after this season. Discounting the 2022 season, Derek Mason never had a season as bad as 2 out of 3 that Lea has had.
Nobody else is questionable for the foreseeable future.
Also worth noting, with Saban's retirement Mark Stoops is the current Dean of SEC head coaches, with 11 years at UK.
