Between the predicted heat and the degree to which I’ve enjoyed relaxing thus far this weekend, I have zero interest in grilling. Ordered up sandwich platters, a veggie tray, and a fruit bowl from Wegmans. Easy peasy, done!

Bison burgers, fries, Guinness. I’m spending the afternoon watching the Tour de France on Peacock and the Wimbledon matches after an early drive back from the shore to get ready for my monthly oncology visit tomorrow morning for an infusion. It’s not the most patriotic of meals but it’s what I like. It’s a beautiful summer day. God Bless America
Since my birthday was a few days ago, my wife made baked alaska with mint chip ice cream. She made it with peanut butter swirl for Father's Day, which is the best ice cream for it. Can't use high end ice cream with real fruit as we found out years ago. It's made mostly days before served with the ice cream put into the pie crust and then refrozen. Real fruit freezes too hard and ends up like trying to eat marbles, as we found out with strawberries years ago.....
