Took the words out of my mouth. I lived in TN at the time Leavitt committed to us. As much as it can be in recruiting kickers, it was a big deal to steal him from UT. Anyway, he didn’t pan out.

Courtney Leavitt came in here as a very heralded kicker - at the top of the national rankings as they were fashioned back then - and largely fizzed. I hope this boy does way better. He would almost have to.
I guess Leavitt is still in the Columbia area. His daughter plays soccer at Hammond. On Twitter, he's still highly supportive of USC.

Wasn't Marty Simpson a 5*? Seems like his problem was college ball had just removed the place kicking tee.
I was thinking he was the #1 kicking recruit in the nation but I've been wrong more than usual lately.
