Haven’t listened yet, but can’t wait!! Big-time influence on Keef by Gram Parsons during that time (stayed at the villa Richards rented in the South of France during the recording of “Exile...Mick wasn’t as enamored w/Parsons). A few years earlier…workin around his schedule w/“The Byrds” & “The Flying Burrito Bros.” …Parsons would come to Greenville to record w/“The Shilos” whom he had met at a folk festival in Florida (“The Shilos” members were all 1965 grads of Wade Hampton High here in G’ville). As it would happen, his “connection” while in Greenville was a Carolina High grad from the mid-1960’s. He would take Parsons back to the municipal airport to fly back to L.A. Would always stop at the Twin-Palmetto Restaurant on Laurens Rd. for a chili-cheese half ‘n’ half plate before his departures!! 😀

I spent a booze-filled night listening to the album from start to finish to celebrate the 50th anniversary a couple of weeks ago. It was well worth the time!

Love the Stones, love Exile! Not a bad song on it - so much variety. They kick off their 60th anniversary tour in Madrid tomorrow night. Europe gets lucky this time. Last saw them in Atlanta last November. They still have it although Charlie is missed. Mick is unreal for a man his age.
