Well the injuries weren’t helpful..If we don't have any other options that's really sad. Either our Recruits aren't panning out or our Coaches and Staff didn't get these kids ready.
Either way. The constant inconsistencies of our OL are inexcusable. Coaches get paid enough to put a better product on the field.
I think Beamer said last week that we have like 7 OL down with injuries. So that doesn’t help. Not arguing with you or making excuses, just offering some added info.If we don't have any other options that's really sad. Will the recruits stick with their commitments to a 4-8/5-7 program? I doubt the teams we beat out for their commitments have stopped recruiting them.No we need him- will have a very good line soon with the recruits coming in these young guys need to play. He just got an award from 247 Sports last week.
They all say they want to be a part of making our bad team into a good team and they love Beamer, the staff and the team culture - all that is still in play, so hopefully they stick. Will the recruits stick with their commitments to a 4-8/5-7 program? No, we're going to lose every single one of them b/c all recruits care about is your W/L record. Will the recruits stick with their commitments to a 4-8/5-7 program? I doubt the teams we beat out for their commitments have stopped recruiting them.
We could lose 1 or 2, sure. Kam and Josiah are all GC. Plus, they'll be in the mix to start day one.Of course, truth is in the middle. We won't lose all, but we probably won't keep them all.

Not making excuses bc they're historically bad, but I would venture to say that if most programs were down to starting 2 true freshmen, and a preferred walk on due to injuries they'd be pretty bad too. It's not like we had a good group to start with. An already mediocre group got decimated with injuries. And here we are. Also, they've had to deal with 2 road SEC games in hostile environments and a neutral game against UNC. It's the perfect storm for that group. But I think that will serve them well the rest of the year. The toughest tests are over for the OL.Consistently inconsistent
If true freshmen are starting "day one", the OL will be terrible once again. Very few HS O linemen are ready to play in the SEC on day one.We could lose 1 or 2, sure. Kam and Josiah are all GC. Plus, they'll be in the mix to start day one.
Not necessarily. If you have a TF playing along side other good players it's not as dire. Tree and Tro look good. They'll continue to improve throughout the year and over the offseason. Nichols & Henry will be back from injury, as will Markee Anderson. If true freshmen are starting "day one", the OL will be terrible once again. Redshirt thing is over. Don’t play someone and they will play for another team next yearBut Please Redshirt him. He isn't ready. It's not Fair to Tree, nor is it fair to the team and us fans.
Tired of Watching him get beat on the snapabout every Down.
Right now we have to score and score a lot to win. Having said that, this time next year will be the most talent on the OL I think I've ever seen at USC. Just going to have to be creative to work around it these next 7 games.
