I sure hope so. Our scoring defenses were basically even last year, (30.4 vs 31.3 ppg). Our D will have its hands full with Maye.

He lost his receivers. WE lost our LB's and DB's. Should be a wash. Cocks by 17.

Nick E has a Pic 6 and Nick Harbor has 76 yd touchdown on an inside screen. Outruns all angles and establishes fear from the rest of the season to our deep threat. TE's will then have a field day.

Scary game seeing that they have the second best QB in the nation in Drake Maye. According to Vegas odds, we are a 1 1/2 point underdog.

Big mouth smack talk never won a game. Besides it’ll be on the players on the field, which we’re not. We better bring a d ready to counter a qb who can throw the ball effectively. This is not a give me.

A loss to UNC will likely mean an unhappy season. Being an underdog at home to an ACC team is not a good thing.

A loss to UNC will likely mean an unhappy season.

Expectations for this team are probably unrealistically high, as most are recalling only the UT and Clemson games and not the 9 games prior. Lest we forget, after 9 games, this fan base was in the depths of despair, having been inexplicably owned at home by Mizzou and then absolutely whipped at UF.

A LOT remains to be seen about this team, Rattler in particular. Will we get Rattler from Games 1-9 or Rattler from Games 10-11? Will we be able to run the ball...at all? Will we be able to get any pressure on the opposing offense? Does Dowell Loggains know what he's doing?

A loss to UNC will bring back all the dark thoughts in a hurry.

This team has some questions to answer on both sides of the ball. The O-Line wasn't great at protecting Rattler, we don't have a real running back like a MarShawn Lloyd. On the defensive side, we gave up 30 or more points the last three games of the season and we lose Cam Smith to the draft.

If we can't be at least be competent running the ball, we'll be in trouble. We were 102nd nationally last year and next to last in the SEC in rushing yards per game (though Mississippi State was last, they were also dead last in the nation in rushing attempts/game).

It's hard to make the RB position look good. Juju is our leading returning rusher at 219 yards. God bless Dakereon for coming back and trying a new position but other teams won't be worried about our rushing attack. Maybe Mario Anderson or the Freshman Dontavius Braswell can give us some touches.
