Hope not but this product tonight looked eerily similar offensively to those teams. With the horrendous schedule and an offense like this I'm concerned the loss total could rival those years. Glad they got a W but I just don't see this team moving the ball against the teams they have left to play.

The Gators will probably make a move on Napier in this his 3rd season. If things go as bad for us this season as we looked tonight, will the geniuses that run this university pull the trigger on Beamer in this his 4th season? I hope so. But, I'm not sure.

Go get Brent Key. At least we can fairly well assured of having a decent OL.

I can't see a conference win on the schedule. Vandy looked MUCH better than us.
Like Jax St. last year, we were just damn lucky to win this game. And hearing Beamer's entitled arrogance after the game kinda made me wish we hadn't. I would have fired him tonight on the sideline and named Shawn Elliott interim HC for the rest of the year. No way Elliott does a worse job than this spoiled brat.

I don't know if he's stubborn or dumb in his refusal to admit certain things simply aren't working

I don't think he's very smart. And I'm starting to think he might even be crazy. When he was hired I gave it an over 90% chance of failure. I really hate to see our program circling the drain though. Especially for my dad's sake.

Yeah, when he's inevitably fired, there's gonna be a big "duh" when his hiring is examined retrospectively.

I wasn’t sure about the hire at first (good or bad), but am certainly having a better view in hindsight.

I don’t understand how it is that all these bad hires have a good 2nd year and get a contract extension?
Muschamp and Beamer both had notable seasons in 2017 and 2022 respectively, then imploded.
Why do we keep getting stuck with these guys?

I am hoping the old adage about improving more between your first and 2nd game than in any other weeks holds true for us. But if it doesn't and we play every game like we played yesterday, I honestly don't think we have a "sure" win left on our schedule. Wofford and Akron might be "likely" wins, but they aren't going to be blowouts. Vandy would have absolutely beaten us by several touchdowns yesterday.
