A basketball tidbit less than a month before football....

Auburn kicked Josh Dollard off the team yesterday. It's a huge loss for Lebo who is fighting to keep his job long enough to open the new arena next season. Dollard didn't play at all this season for what Auburn termed "medical reason" which I believe must be glaucoma. Anyway, Dollard was the leading scorer and rebounder two years ago as a sophomore, and his exit leaves Vot Barber (6'-7'') and Lucas Hargrove (6'-6'') as the only returning post players. It's a sticky (icky) situation for Lebo to have to deal with, and typical of the chronic troubles he has faced over the years.

DAA, @Kentucky on a tuesday, raycom @6pm... dont see no way ill be making that one this year at an 8 hour drive each way.

--me and my road buddy have already decided on 14 of the 16 though (holding out on Uk and a wed night @ UT late in the season).

I know. Mrs. D@A was mighty distraught at the schedule. The only weekend eastern division trip this year is Athens, and that is not appealing on a basketball level or an a getaway weekend level. Maybe this is the year we suck it up and go to Fayetteville, still the only SEC arena I have not visited.

I will say that my senior year at State we made the eight hour Lexington drive for a Wednesday night game. Packed four or five of us into a room at the Hilton Suites of Lexington Green. Good times.
