It’s their year, and the rest of us are just living in it this year. ACC sucks out loud and and SEC is mediocre. I’ll take the State Championship and hopefully look forward to better days next year. Not sweating the taters but new OC will need to do better than today.

They do this every so often, 1999 had people thinking they had passed the SEC in football, then in 2000 and 2001 order was restored. They said the big 10 had surged ahead of the SEC again in 2014 with how that postseason played out, but 2015 proved that wasn't the case. Just let them talk for now and we'll see what the next couple of years says about it.

A new roster every season is a gamble. If the new players mesh you are golden, if not it can he a train wreck. Folks knock the 12 team ayoff, but think about if this season would've been 16. Add Bama Ole Miss, South Carolina, and BYU to the 12 we had and reseed. Play it 16 vs 1, 15 vs 2 and so on. High seed hosts in rounds 1 and 2. As fans we would really be the winners. No byes just play!!

Calamitous season for the SEC. If I could think of a stronger word right now, I would use it.

Portal and NIL have spread the talent around.Hard to believe how far Georgia and Alabama’s overall talent level has droppped. Not 1 position group for Ga or Ala comparable to what they were 5 yrs ago.

Anyone want to name the PSU/ND bowl game? Or think of some potential sponsors?

I have a long-standing argument that I think has been proven time and time again over the last 30-35 years: Big Ten media bias and an interwoven group in the fabric of CFB that pull strings for the B10. Really seeing it come into fruition now the last 2-3 years.
I have never been impressed with the B10 teams even in the years where they had supposed close to top national teams. I bet and won big in the 07 Nat. Champ. game because I knew better than believe the BS. The team that "beat" Miami was definitely a GOOD team, but through a combination of stuff (including BS call) they won that year. They've had SOME good teams, but over the last 50 years (modern college football) they've been the most over hyped poser of a football conference of any conference.
Seriously.... the Old Big 8, SW conference, of course the SEC, Pac 10 and even the ACC for small pockets in the last 50 years produced definitive "best teams". Even ND had more than a few legitimate top national teams in that span.
Now- with all the changes. Big Ten commish heading up the playoff committee. All the old big ten/northeast journalism schools and people involved in CFB in certain jobs spread thoughout like cancer.....they've always gotten inaccurate (positive for them) results in AP/media and even coaches polls. At least after 50 years, the last couple they're finally legitimately relevant.

I agree with that in the overall. Now is the most pertinent time there is - and behind that, the future, when the value of television rights deals will be determined. The more relevant you are, the greater your worth. That's true in anything.
