big leagues this weekend....

Tim Dillard, who led Saltillo to the playoffs and ICC to the Juco World Series, as a great hitter & staff ace, got called up by the Brewers Friday to replace Eric Gagne.

He's already appeared in 3 games in his 1st 4 days....a first class kid.

Also, after his ICC days, he visited MSU hoping to play there, but Polk said "No thanks"..............

The area surrounding Tupelo has put out some decent talent over the last several years! There have been a couple MLB players, but several good college players have come out of this area.

His Dad was a great player at Ole Miss, but he had two brothers that played collegiately- Jeff Dillard played for MSU for a season under McMahon, but I heard he got hit in the face by a baseball during a scrimmage and that pretty much ended his career, and Andy Dillard was an All-American player at Delta St.

Tim verbally commited to Ole Miss out of JUCO.

I played my high school ball with him before i got a bum shoulder. We were good friends, but I haven't talked to him since about 2 months after he got drafted.
