Check out the overhead angle. The Duke player deliberately stuck his leg out to trip one of the fans and simultaneously tried to throw a forearm. Then, he played the victim in the post game interview. At the very least he could have made a better effort to get off the court more quickly.

Yeah. See below. Clearly tried to trip the kid, and give him the old forearm shiver. This is a lesson in FAFO.

I agree. The Duke coach should have followed the Kentucky philosophy of leaving early and quickly when you know what's coming.
When stating more serious in the OP, I'm referring to the reaction of those who are anti student celebration.

The game was not over. He was involved in the last play. Why should he have been off the court?

I didn't see the game but I do know it was close game. Kentucky was different because they were getting blown out and the outcome was no longer in doubt when Cali pulled them off the court. Did Duke have a chance to win at the end w/o risky a possible win?

Can't blame the Duke player. He's trying to protect himself by initiating contact. When I see someone running at me, I'm going to initiate to protect. Didn't work out very well for himšŸ˜…

His effort to avoid the situation was minimal compared to other team members who rushed to the courtside
