For the next weight class, we're going to take a look at 141/134.
This is an Ohio State's best weight class both during the Cael Era and for the past 30 years. The Buckeyes had 10 AAs out of 15 tournaments with multiple championships won by Logan Stieber and Jesse Mendes. Penn State is in a solid 2nd place with an impressive seven year run of top 5 finishes by Nick Lee and Beau Bartlett. Iowa's 4 runner-up finishes were enough to get them 3rd place.
Minnesota and Missouri were the only teams to have a qualifier at this weight for all 16 seasons. This is the Sooners only appearance in the top 10 in the Cael Era. Despite having two NCs from Dean Heil, this is Oklahoma State's worst weight and the only one that they didn't make the top 10. Heil accounted for all 3 of the Pokes AAs in the last 15 tournaments.
In the 15 years before Cael, Iowa led the way powered by 4 NCs and 9 AAs. This weight class had the most diverse set of teams between the two 15-year periods with only 3 (Iowa, Ohio State and Oklahoma) appearing on both top-10 lists. Oklahoma was in a solid 2nd place with strong careers from Michael Lightner and Teyon Ware. Penn State was pretty bad at this weight before Cael with only 2 AAs and 8 NQs. No teams qualified a wrestler at this weight for every tournament.
With both the time periods combined, Iowa was the most consistent and has the top spot. Ohio State is in a strong second and has the most NCs with 6. The Sooners are in 3rd with this being their best weight class over the combined 31 year period. Despite a poor prior 15 years, Penn State has done enough under Cael to offset that to get to 4th.
For the lineups, I included Ohio State along with Penn State. AnOSU has had a lot of success at this weight over the years with three multiple champions and several more high placing AAs.
