Here's the last weight class, 165/158.

Not surprisingly, this is another weight class that Penn State has done very well in during the Cael Era with DT, Cenzo and Psycho leading the way. This has been Wisconsin's best weight class with the likes of Andrew Howe, Isaac Jordan, Evan Wick and Dean Hamiti. The 165 weight class also has been strong historically for the Cowboys. Stanford makes its only appearance here in a top 10 list during the Cael Era. Iowa has struggled a bit at this weight class for a while but did have Caliendo make the finals for their first appearance there since 2008 (Alex Marinelli might be the best wrestler not to ever crack the top 4). Missouri has notably had an NCAA rep for this weight class for 21 straight years.

It's a different story for Iowa before Cael as they are a very close 2nd to Oklahoma State between 1995 to 2009. This was Edinboro's strongest weight class in the 15 year pre-Cael era. Penn State had very weak results with only 2 AAs during this time period. Oklahoma State, Edinboro and Illinois were represented at the tournament all 15 seasons.

Penn State's recent dominance was not enough to overcome the consistency of Oklahoma State and Iowa's strong results in the pre-Cael era and settle in at 3rd place. The Badgers come in at 4th, their strongest results of any weight class. Penn State does lead the way with 5 NCs. Oklahoma State has the most AAs at 17 and most NQs with 30 out of 31 seasons.
