For the next weight class, we're going to take a look at 197/190.
Penn State leads the way during the Cael Era with 4 different national champions at 197 and an impressive 11 AAs out of 15 tournaments. This was Missouri's best weight class for this time period with 3x champion J'Den Cox and 4x AA Rocky Elam. This was also Iowa State's strongest weight class with Jake Varner winning the title in 2010 and Kyven Gadson's solid career culminating in an NC in 2015. PDIII also won 3 different titles in his one tournament at ISU in 2016. This was Pitt's only appearance on a top-10 list during the Cael Era with Nino Bonaccorsi and Matthew Wilps. Nino had Pitt's only NC over the last 16 years.
The Gophers were the kings of 197/190 prior to Cael and led the way with Ok State with 4 NCs. Penn State made the top-10 list thanks to Phil Davis's 1NC/4AA career. Nebraska had an impressive 11 AAs out of 15 tournaments.
And here is the combined 30 year list. This is the closest distribution in the top 6 out of any of the weight classes with strong performances at 197 from all 6 of the teams over the years. Penn State leads in points, is tied with Ok State in # of titles (5) and leads the way with 16 AAs.

Cael and Jake Varner make appearances on this list. I haven't verified this but I'm pretty sure Stephen Buchanan is the first wrestler to finish top 3 with three different schools.
