Thanks Snoopy!

It's sad that someone from West <17> Virginia was more forward thinking than anyone else in charge.

He brought needed reforms to the school. We're a much better place because of him. A reformer takes his lumps. It is hard as hell to be the first reformer. I've been that - in a different occupation obviously. Reformers usually don't last long. But their influence is felt long after they're gone.

don't bring the doc love back into discussion again. doc did a helluva job hiring byrne, don't get me wrong. he was a good president for our athletic department. but he was not the right man for our university. no way. move on from that **** and focus on working with who's here in the present.

doc was bad for unity. when you see how it affected campus relations first hand you know it's not the right way, no matter how good his intentions were. personally, i liked his ideas, but he had a poor way of carrying out his plans.

i refuse to discuss this any further, because it's old news. but i'll leave it on this: what people liked about doc and seem to like about greg byrne are very similar. but the difference between greg byrne and doc is that greg byrne knows how to be a forward thinker and go about it in a respectable manner. when doc didn't get his way he threw temper tantrums and made threats... a lot like some guy i've heard of with his name on our baseball stadium.

is correct.

The professors and Polk reacted in a similar manner and for the same reasons.....egotistical AHoles's.

If you disagree then you are wrong.
