I'm up late since I don't have to preach tomorrow, and wondering, "is there ever really a coach that is known as a "player's coach" that has consistently won? I can't think of any.

Pete Carroll maybe? In college at least.

If players didn't love Saban, they should have. Consummate professional with results.

I cringed when Lebby said we are going to be a “player led not program fed” team in one of opening press conferences.

I thought one might say Kiffin, but I wouldn't say he has won consistently. I am still skeptical of OM whenever they will play a good team. Don't get me wrong, I would still take him over what we have, but consistently win? Nope.

He's 76-28 in his last 7+ seasons. And that record is only going to get better by the time this season ends. I'd take that any day.
