Some so-called Gamecock people don't get what this game means. Some people are too young to remember how it was when we were both in the same league. Some people weren't around when this game spawned fistfights. I even remember when one man shot and killed another one in an argument over this game at a country store in the upstate - now maybe 40 years ago. That's when people got it. Living in Scotland i regularly attend the Rangers vs Celtic game which is one of the biggest, if not thee biggest rivalry match in European soccer.
I totally get the rivalry.

I only started following the Cocks this season after a business trip to Georgia and South Carolina back in May.

decided to pick a team to follow and went for the Gamecocks after seeing some games on TV. It was the atmosphere at Willy B that made me choose them
