Little Germans there. It has already been established it is a Google Play store policy. The academy app on my iPhone 15 pulls ups shotguns, rifles, handguns and ammo.
Merely curious at this point, are you more interested in buying some shells or playing the victim?Little Germans there. It has already been established it is a Google Play store policy.
So I guess when they determine catching fish with hooks is cruel, they will block all mention of fishing lures and baits. People get injured from power tools all the time so no more facilitating the sale of power tools.
Shouldn't they do the same with cars, bats, knives etc?Little Germans there. It has already been established it is a Google Play store policy.

Complaining about people complaining. You really have this schtick down pat!Merely curious at this point, are you more interested in buying some shells or playing the victim?
I mean, one company that probably handles 40% of phone apps in the US deciding it's not going to allow apps to sell a pretty basic, perfectly legal product because it offends their sensibilities is pretty ******. I'm glad google is losing their dominance but it just would generally make society much healthier if people stopped using corporations to push their personal policies. And it just generally sucks that so many founders have been successful at retaining voting control without economic control. I think people originally accepted that out of an assumption that they would be using their control to grow the company, not push their personal politics.Merely curious at this point, are you more interested in buying some shells or playing the victim?
If you're saying google is too big and it's time for some monopoly/trust busting, sign me up. Otherwise - and maybe you and others don't mean it this way - but it sounds like you're not keen on private companies having private interests?I mean, one company that probably handles 40% of phone apps in the US deciding it's not going to allow apps to sell a pretty basic, perfectly legal product because it offends their sensibilities is pretty ******. I've never read one of Bruce's posts that led me to believe he's a "victim" but I have read plenty of your posts that lead me to believe that you're a but hurt far left zealot constantly trying to stir sh_t.Merely curious at this point, are you more interested in buying some shells or playing the victim?

I'm fine with people having private interests. For publicly traded companies, you really shouldn't use the company to push your personal political interests. It ideally would leave you open to liability, but the problem is it's hard to draw a line between legitimate marketing and legitimate business related lobbying and converting company assets to personal use. For example, is a company pushing for renewables because they are greenwashing and the goodwill legitimately helps the stockholders? Or because they want to get personally patted on the back at shareholder expense? If you're saying google is too big and it's time for some monopoly/trust busting, sign me up. If everyone here will just DM me their CC information, I'll load you up all the ammo you can stand at very favorable shipping rates. Easy peasy.Or clicked on the 'shop.academy.com' button and used Chrome to buy it directly on their website... like a real man.
I’ve had good luck at the ones in my area. It online for curbside pickup and it’s ready in an hour or less, and they are usually very quick to bring it outside once you check inWhen I need something from Academy I usually just go because it's not too far. As far as shopping on line if they're as bad as everyone else at having the items they say they have in stock.....you need to go physically check anyway.
I am just bringing to light something that is an under the radar ideology creep. Why is it just done here and not within their search or browser? I am all for people or companies having beliefs. Just have the guts to state them and stick to them. I wasn't aware of this policy and I just wanted other people to be aware. It is definitely something I am going to use to make future decisions on where my money goes. I have been an Android person since the beginning and things like this could make me switch to Apple.
Google won't translate it. Whatever that means, it must be another important thing in your life that's under attack by radical tech leftists.
I got an Italian word for you
Bafangool.
I was on board until you said throwing stars were banned... how am I supposed to practice my secret ninja moves from the government? Next you'll tell me bo staffs are banned and I can't show off my skills, my bo staff skills. It's been like that since 2012 for what it's worth. They also ban tobacco and alcohol sales, brass knuckles, throwing stars, drug paraphernalia, and sodium nitrate.
Based on all that, I would guess it has a lot more to do with liability than making a statement.
Here's my guess as to why...
They listen to/record/mine everything we say and type. If I search suicidal or homicidal shìt on Google and then buy guns or ammo through some Google service and shoot someone or myself, I bet some money grubbing shyster would sue the shìt out of them.
I can let you search for how to build a pipe bomb and I am doing nothing wrong. I can sell you the components and I did nothing wrong. If I see you are searching for pipe bomb directions and then connect you to pibe bomb components r us, well I am kind of complicit.
They make way too much money off our data to risk it on sales for a few niche businesses that might land them in court and bring to light how much they know about us.
***I'm fully expecting to see pipe bomb supplies in my targeted ads for the next week.***
Any chance your ISP is assigning an IP in a state where they have restrictions? My Home Depot app always has me shopping a store in New York because of the Verizon IP. It could just be a state regulation, and not an Academy policy.Do a search on shotgun or shotgun shells and you get nothing.

It is NOT an Academy policy. It is a Google Play Store policy. As I said Bass Pro was forced to do the same.Any chance your ISP is assigning an IP in a state where they have restrictions?
