There are no longer 2 divisions in the ACC, or the SEC for that matterHopefully (for them) one of the western teams is decent.
I think he’s referring to Cal, Stanford, or SMU.There are no longer 2 divisions in the ACC, or the SEC for that matter
maybe that's their planSoon the ACC will pay Clemson and FSU to leave.
I don’t believe they will have to win out to be in charlotte.Clemson losing (big) to UGA is not an anomaly. UGA with the exception of maybe OSU would produce the same result for just about any other team.
Clemson can still win out and play in the ACCCG. This was one game and we have a very long season in front of us. The picture will start to become clearer within 3 games or so as to which teams will be ascending and descending.
FSU however may have shown its hand..
This is me looking over my shoulder hoping to see a punching bag but no one is there. lolYou folks think winning and losing is what gets you into conferences. How did we ever get into the SEC? It's about money. Somebody has to be the punching bag/doormat in any conference.
Well, in fairness that ODU team we beat has beaten Va Tech twice in last 5 years I thinkAwwww, this is soooo cute! We’re crapping on the ACC again while our amazing SEC team is doing wonderfully!
This is total fantasy. If we’d opened with Georgia and gotten beat down like that everyone would be saying we’re gonna be lucky to win 3 games. Yes their schedule is easier but that was not an 11-1 team. Good, but certainly not elite defense. Average offense. They will lose at least 2 more regular season gamesClemson's schedule is such a joke I can easily see them going 11-1 in the regular season. Their only ranked opponent from here on out is NC State, who is currently ranked #24. NC State is the most regularly overrated team in the country. They start every season ranked and always manage 3 or 4 losses.
Clemson will probably go 11-1 and face Miami in the ACCCG. A win there and Clemson gets a bye in the CFP, a close loss and they still probably get into the 12 team playoff.
I agree. They have all the necessary pieces in place now to ascend to the top of that league. But it's early.Miami looks like a completely different team with Cam Ward. We’ll see how the next few weeks go, but coming out of week 1 they have to be the favorites in the ACC. Could see them being like FSU last season. But Ward has to stay healthy. That guy plays with a confidence you don’t see very often. It’s like the game moves so slow for him compared to everyone else.
Might be one of those years where someone unlikely makes it to the title game as well.
Look at their schedule and tell me who is going to beat them. Their D, especially their front 7 are really good. They held Georgia to 6 points in the first half. Their D ran out of gas in the second half because Georgia's D shut down their offense and kept the Clemson D on the field all day. Mafah is a beast, no D they face from here on will have the talent Georgia did at stopping the run. Kublick isn't great but he doesn't totally suck either, he would be the best qb on Carolina's roster by far this year. FSU is probably going to be their toughest opponent and FSU is mediocre at best this year. This is total fantasy. For comparison, we led Georgia at halftime last season between the hedges. We were in the game early in the 4th quarter. We had a disasterous season.Look at their schedule and tell me who is going to beat them. Their D, especially their front 7 are really good. They held Georgia to 6 points in the first half. VPI is in the SEC? Who knew?Well, in fairness that ODU team we beat has beaten Va Tech twice in last 5 years I think
Vandy just beat VT. I'm not sure you want to use VT as an example of a "quality" program.Well, in fairness that ODU team we beat has beaten Va Tech twice in last 5 years I think
VT was predicted to be a possible contender for the ACC this year.Vandy just beat VT. I'm not sure you want to use VT as an example of a "quality" program.
Umm, that reply was to you busting on peoples chops for making fun of the ACC. Last time I checked Va Tech is still in the ACCVandy just beat VT. I'm not sure you want to use VT as an example of a "quality" program.
I can tell you from personal experience that aside from Carolina fans no one else cares.I guess I'd rather be bottom tier in the SEC than be a middle-pack ACC team. It'd be back to the old USC/NC State rivalry to see who could finish 3rd or 4th in the ACC. At least we can look at our schedule and say, "Yep we have a top-10 toughest schedule again this year."
we gotta have something to brag aboutI can tell you from personal experience that aside from Carolina fans no one else cares.

Then we need to find something else, because thats not itwe gotta have something to brag about
A competent, quality Head Coach could make us a middle-pack SEC team.I guess I'd rather be bottom tier in the SEC than be a middle-pack ACC team. That's what we used to be. Time to at least get back to that.A competent, quality Head Coach could make us a middle-pack SEC team.
