I'm guessing Mike Uva didn't go to medical school.
I assume you live in the San Francisco area. Love that city, as beautiful as they come. Would like to visit once more while I an reasonably healthy. My question is .... it it safe?

I spent 2 weeks in Berkeley in '21. Had no issues. The street cars are back up after the CV shutdown.

I live about 30 min north. My job is in the city, but have been working remote since the pandemic lockdowns started and nope, I'm not thrilled about the prospect of ever having to park my car all day there. Market Street businesses, the financial district, the Mission, and last but not least the Tenderloin, all areas I wouldn't recommend. The Embarcadero, the Castro, Pier 39 seem OK, not sure about Fisherman's Wharf. Golden Gate Park during daylight hours is fine. and the Presidio is nice area too. When I do have to go in I park in a select few well lit parking lots. It was awesome when I moved out here 25 years ago.

I hit all of those...but during the day along with lots of crowds. It's hard to imagine going to any of those places after dark.
I rode BART/street cars with no issues as well.
