Looked like a knee possibly. He absolutely laid the wood to the ND dude on his long run.

I would take Adkins over Bell and Stogner all day, every day.
Hopefully we learned something from his play over the last 3 games. I don’t think Bell or Stogner could duplicate the combination of his blocking and ability to catch and run. Both could do one of the two, but not both. I’d be willing to bet the guys we’re bringing in are guys we feel can do what Nate did well. Once we start protecting better, we won’t have to rely on that position quite as much. But it was a great weapon down the stretch. Once he left, it was like all the creativity in our offense left with him.
That really hurt our chances when he got hurt - he was having another great game. Wish he had another year.

Im telling you, there are countless plays he made throughout the year where he followed his assignment. He is a guy that leads with actions too. he was missed half #2. ND's dbs are bigger and better than what we faced Vols or Clemy
Anyone think Adkins did enough to get a shot in the NFL? We always knew he could block, but look at what he did as receiver these last 3 games. I hope a team will give a shot
He could find his way onto an NFL team with what he’s shown over the last few games. He reminds me of Patrick DiMarco. Patrick didn’t have many catches but he opened holes and was a dependable catcher when his number was called. One guy I would’ve liked to see have at least 2 more years to hang around.

Adkins is what you call the prototype of a real college football player. Do whatever it takes to help the team! Unselfish!
Keep in mind his mother recently passed and his father has some relatively major health issues.

A knoxville kid who loves the game and maximizes potential. Country boy with work ethic. Maybe there’s hope yet cause he’s the exception, not the norm these days. Bryce Young is another good one. Hope players and youth follow those examples.
If not, go for the XFL or USFL. He could work his way onto an NFL practice squad from there and then he’s got a shot.
