Seems fitting to play my favorite song by them, with its title spot on....

I was/am a massive Aerosmith fan from my high school days. Without question, this is also my favorite song. I was at Worchester Centrum in 1982 when Steven Tyler passed out and OD'd on stage (with Crespo and Dufay filling in).

Unfortunately, they open in Philly the Saturday of the WVU game. But they are at MSG in January. Black Crowes as openers.

I love Aerosmith, one of my first favorites. Have seen them 3 times, but never was blown away by them in concert. When Joe starts playing his Bluesy solo stuff, I'm lost. Probably will not go to see this, but if you haven't seen them, cross it off your bucket list !!

Way back in 2009 Aerosmith was the customer event headliner for the Oracle OpenWorld conference in SF. Saw Roger Daultry up close with The Who’s tour band minus Pete Townsend on a side stage. Didn’t see Aerosmith since they were on tour a lot back then. Maybe I’ll catch them this time!

Yeah, Just like Motley Crue had their "Farewell" tour a few years back...

However, I do love pre-'87 Aerosmith and may try to catch their tour in Dallas.

Saw Aerosmith twice. The more memorable event was circa 1980 at the Spectrum. This was back when festival seating was allowed. I was jammed in on the floor about 20 yards from the stage. About 3 songs in Steven Tyler got hit in the face with a bottle. He left the stage, and everything got quiet. Joey Kramer came back on and said we will be back in a few minutes. This was a ruse to allow the band time to leave the arena. When they announced the show has been cancelled, bottles and other debris rained down from the upper decks. It was pretty scary as we were packed in like sardines. Got out unscathed though.
Tyler had a firecracker go off in his face at the Spectrum too at a different concert resulting in a cancelled show. Can't believe they ever came back to Philly.

Appears they'll be making 3 appearances in Texas on the Peace Out tour. Here's hoping you get to go to one of the concerts:

Their final show ever is in... Montreal? That makes no sense. I thought for sure a final show in Boston. They made their bones in the early 70s by relentless touring to support first two albums. Second half of "Train Kept a Rollin" was recorded live at a small venue in Boston. The band is absolutely beloved in Boston

A Farewell Tours is the best marketing one can have for a Reunion Tour. and then a So Long, We Really Mean It This Time Tour.

Tyler just turned 75 and Joe Perry will be 73 in September. Whitford, Hamilton, and Kramer are all in their early 70s, too. Maybe they really do mean it the first time.

I've seen Aerosmith a bunch in Hershey with Jackal, Kiss, Cheap Trick. I'm down with them and the Black Crowes. Warshed up and still better than 90% of the crap that is trotted on stage these days.

I wish they could sound like this.

No interest whatsoever in seeing Aerosmith, but isn’t announcing a tour a little presumptuous? Isn’t Tyler in some legal trouble for having a sexual relationship with a kid many years ago?

Not sure if any of you saw the CMA awards, but The Black Crowes sang “She talks to Angels” with Darius Rucker. Rucker’s portion was really good. Chris Robinson’s portion….not so much. He screamed through the entire song and I only knew what he was saying because I knew the words to the song. I really liked The Black Crowes back in the 90’s, but that wasn’t good.

Joey Kramer won't be part of the tour, and from what I have been told he is really fading health-wise

Well I saw the Stones last ever tour back in 1981. They announced that this was their last ever tour to justify the slightly over $25 per ticket, which was the most any band had charged at that time. The opening act didn’t show up either on the day we went. At least Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts were still in the band.

My cousin tells a fun story about ST. My cousin is a music promoter in okc and became long time close friends with Steven. Both are alcoholics and a few? years ago, after a Saturday night OKC show, Steven tells my cous he really needs a good meeting. Cous says no problem, tomorrow am I’ll walk to your hotel and we can walk over to a good one. My cous is thinking ST will rock some jeans, shades and a truckers hat, nope, he went full dress:

people are stopping their cars in the street, stopping him on the sidewalk, a complete circus. They roll into the meeting a bit late and of course it comes to a complete stop. ST says hello to everyone, says he needs a good meeting, and he’ll stay after and meet everyone in the room. He stayed for an hour at the end and chatted with everyone there. Love that guy.
