Can anyone explain why we chose to defend the north end zone? This means in the 4th quarter you will be driving into the strong wind. I’ve always believed you let the wind help In the 4th.

I’m not saying this is why we lost, I’m just asking if anyone else thought it was not typical.

That decision has no effect on the 4th quarter. That gets reset after halftime when the choices are made after halftime. We chose to receive to open the 2nd half. Ole Miss got the choice of goal to defend to start the 2nd half.

Did the wind actually change during the game?

I think the cold front passed through in the 2nd half.
