if forced to bet, I'd place my money on the rebels having a better football season this year than us...

croom will have to prove he's turned the corner this year as head coaching material.. if he does, then we'll edge them out..

I found it ironic that they all say ole miss will be the most improved in the SEC but all have them dead last in the west..

I think Nutt is head and shoulders above O in the coaching dept.. I think it will make a difference..

Orgeron found new ways to lose games last year, they will be decent on the two lines, that alone usually keeps you around in most games. If their qb pans out and doesnt get hurt, the passing game could pick up the slack from the run production lost last year. With that said, I dont look for them to break out this year, but .500 or so would be an accurate pick for both them and us.

I say they win at least 1 SEC game and probably 3 of 4 non-conf. games. I think 5-7 is reasonable and 6-6 not out of the question.

I also think Ole Miss will be improved, and, probably quite a bit. If I were a Rebel, what I would be concerned about is 1.) Depth, because they have very little in some positions, like the OL, obviously QB, and in the secondary, especially CB. 2.) Linebacker. Cornell is probably the most impressive, and, if he can stoke a fire Allen Walker should be All SEC someday. They have Fein, but he is erratic. I'd still rate their front 7 in the top half of the SEC. One issue is offensive philosophy, versus talent aboard. Snead is known as a running QB, and he has two young, but good RB's. They do have some weapons at WR, but will Nutt use them?

......about what the Rebs do next season. MSU should be a better team than Ole Miss, but only if Croom is the genuine article as a head coach. We don't know that for sure yet based on just one season. I think he will really prove himself THIS year.
